You know that commercial where the dad and the teen daughter are in the kitchen creating a volcano for a science project, and the mom walks in just as the volcano explodes all over her kitchen? Yeah.....
A while back, my mother-in-law bought me this frappuccino maker for Christmas.
I love it...it's awesome. It makes DELICIOUS frappuccinos. However, I don't use it much because it takes a little bit of time to get everything in the mixer and set it all up, clean it up, etc. So today, I thought to myself, "I'm going to make myself a little treat." You know, just put the ingredients in, push start, and then have a delicious treat. If only it would have gone that easily....
You see, I put the lid on the container backwards. I mean, I have made several frappuccinos with this machine before, so why should I read the instructions? I know what I'm doing, right? Wrong.
At first, the machine acts like a normal coffee maker. It filters the espresso, and the espresso fills up the clear container. Then, the light starts blinking to tell you it's about to start "blending." This machine is awesome, but the blending part of it is super loud and a bit scary....so when the light started blinking, I even said outloud to myself, "Here comes the scary part." Little did I know just how scary that was going to be....
People, it started blending (with the lid on backwards), and there was a frappuccino explosion all over my kitchen. Dripping off my white cabinets, all over my clothes, covering my microwave and other appliances, and all over the floor!!!!!!! I just stood there for a minute, staring at the mess once I had frantically turned the machine off. It was one of those, "What the @#&$ just happened????" moments. You know, when something scary happens and you freeze and just need to take it in for a minute before you know how to react? Yeah, that was me.
Then, I finally came to my senses and started cleaning it all up, laughing at myself and shaking my head the whole time while saying, "I cannot BELIEVE that just happened." After cleaning it up and wiping down the cabinets and walls, all I could think of was, "I really should have taken pictures of that so I could have scrapped it." LOL! True sign of a scrapper, right?
So now I need to go mop my floors really well because they are STICK-AYYYY. The good news is, my house totally smells like Starbucks right now. All I need is to put on some Nora Jones, sit at my laptop while drinking my frapp, and pretend I'm there.
Happy Friday, everyone!

The Scrap Room Full Reveal (May 2012)
Oh man, has it been busy, busy around here! It seems like everything we do is involved around baseball 24/7...but my boys are having a great time and learning a lot, so that's what it's really all about. :)
Even with all the craziness going on, I was able to sit down with my May kit from The Scrap Room and bust out some layouts and cards:
As you can see, I was even able to go back into my ever-growing pile of photos and scrap some baby pictures of my youngest. It feels good to finally get those in an album!
Here's to busy schedules, baseball, and squeezing in scrappy time whenever you can! ;) Thanks for looking.

Ask and You Shall Receive
Eeeeeeeeeeeeek! So remember this post from the other day? The one where I talked about the Silhouette Cameo and how badly I wanted one?!!
Well, my dear friend Krissy had the older version of the Silhouette (Silhouette SD) and offered to sell it to me for a fraction of its original cost!! How could I say no, right??? So, my "new" Silhouette should be here on Monday or so. How fun is that?!?!
I am soooo excited and can't wait to create with it! I've got so many ideas. The first thing I want to do is create some heat transfers onto onesies. Need to buy the heat transfer kit, though. Anyone know of some good online stores that carry Silhouette products?
So, just had to share my excitement...and expect to see lots of new projects from me in the near future. hehehehe (and THANK YOU, Kris!)

A Little Home Decor Project
I don't know how, but I managed to get a little home improvement and home decor project done this past weekend! I took on our hallway and completely repainted it...so it feels good to have that done. Next, I created some wall decor using some wooden plaques, ribbon, and scrapbook paper. Got the idea from Pinterest. Check it out:
I like the way it turned out, and I have a friend who has asked me to make her one just like it that says, "Love." So, that's next on my to-do list. :) It's a great way to use up some leftover scraps of paper! Thanks for taking a look.

iWant
Ohhhhhhhh, the things I would create with this bad boy:
That's the Silhouette Cameo. I want it. More than any other scrapbooking/crafting tool I've ever wanted before. One day, it will be mine. It will.
That is all.

Baseball Season Has Begun!
Ah, how I love springtime! A time of refreshing, a time of warmer temperatures and more being outside, a time of.....BASEBALL! This year, for the first year ever, BOTH of my little guys are in Little League. Aaron has been dragged to every practice and has watched his big brother play in every one of his games for going on 5 seasons now. He has patiently (okay, maybe not-so-patiently) watched and longed to get out on that field himself one day and be a part of a team. That day happened today. :) My little guy had his first t-ball practice for HIS team today, and he couldn't have been more excited!
Aaron will be playing on the Phillies, with my hubby being his coach. We have a great group of little guys on the team...even one that I got to teach in my first preschool class. So cute!
Evan will be playing on the Angels. This boy is CAHH-RAZZZZY about baseball. He has baseball cards ALL over every room in the house, we redid his whole room in baseball stuff for Christmas, and he knows the stats of every player better than anyone I've ever known. He loves it...eats it up. His 2 best friends from his homeroom at school are on his team this year, and he is thrilled about that.
So...needless to say, baseball season is in full effect in this household. We've been watching our Texas Rangers play in the Spring Training games, and we are ready to go to a game!
And speaking of baseball...I have GOT to get some of last season's pics scrapped and into albums! Or I may just make another mini photobook like I did one year through Shutterfly. Hmmmm....decisions, decisions.
I do know, however, that I desperately want the new Jillibean Soup Game Day Chili kit!
I plan on buying this and using up every single bit of it. With 2 boys in baseball now, it shouldn't be hard to do!
