I'm so excited I could just piddle in the floor!
First off, I checked in on some blogs I follow and received this news from the Paper Fashions blog:
Border Punch Winner!
The Fiskars Effervescence border punch is so much fun to work with! The creative possibilities are endless and I wish I could give one to each of you! The random winner of the drawing this time is....
Jennifer Moore!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!
Secondly, back in June when my HYWWP girls and I went to the Great American Scrapbook Convention, they had a thing where you could give postcards to your friends to fill out and bring with them. They would get $1 off admission, and you would receive your name into a drawing for a gift basket.
Welllllll, I WON!!!!!!!! OMG, I had no idea how much fun stuff would be in this basket! I literally squealed when I opened it! Here's a little summary of what is included:
-One night weekend stay at the Sheraton in Arlington (right across from Six Flags)
-4 admission tickets to Six Flags!!!!!!!
-2 Tickets to Legends of the Game Museum at Rangers Ballpark
-Texas Rangers collector tin with jelly beans (plays "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" when you open it!)
-An Arlington tshirt
-2 Hurricaine Harbor Water Park tickets!!!!!!
-Dallas Cowboys notepad and pen
-Lots of scrappy goodies!
-A Memory Makers magazine
Can you say excited?!?!??! Van and I were just talking...I mean just talking as in YESTERDAY...about taking the boys to Six Flags. After our trip to Disney World, I was kinda down that we probably wouldn't be able to afford another vacation anywhere this summer. God is sooooooo good! He provided us with a little free weekend getaway!!! How cool is that?!
So, in honor of feeling extremely blessed by others' generosity today....I am going to be generous myself with a scrappy giveaway!

First of all congrats! I couldn't think of anyone more deserving! You are too kind to spread the love!
At a scrapbooking convention, I won a weekend at a Scrapping B&B for me and a friend. It was fantastic!!!!
I sent money to a friend anonymously when I knew she was going through financial hardships. I didn't have a lot of money myself at the time (still don't), but it felt good knowing that it would be going to someone who really needed it.
I will be posting to my blog tonight about your contest and I am already a follower!
THat is so awesome Jenny! So glad you won all that fab stuff. :0) I haven't won anything scrappy before, but then again, I don't ever sign up for anything. Lol.
1. Just a few weeks ago I sent a hand written letter to a popular scrapbook company that I love!!! I myself work and retail and its rare to come across people who have gone out of their way to say thank-you. So i decided to put a lot of effort and thought into this letter. I told them how much I wanted to thank them for letting me be so creative with their product. And Why i love their products. Next thing I know a few weeks letter I was sent free products from them! I was shocked and amazed. I was not expecting anything back, I immediately wrote them back thanking them again. It was an amazing surprise considering scrapbook supplies can get pricey. To this day I share what they sent with my best friend who scrapbooks with me.
2. Last Christmas I adopted a family that I work with. She has one son with Autism and is considered homeless but is living in a assisted living where they teach skills to be able to support yourself. My mom and i bought this family lots of things I knew they not only needed but would truly appreciate. We got them the necessity's like laundry soap, and gift cards for food. And we got their son what any nine year old boy would love, a game system. I wrapped them all and labeled them from Santa. I know this family will always remember having a wonderful Christmas. I feel great being able to help people in need.
3. I will defiantly post on my scrapbook stream and my blog!
4. I cant wait to join!!!
Thanks for this opportunity!
Lots of love
Emily Wilbur
Congrats to you....I've been wishing for that punch. I won a MM chillin line from Moxie Fab World!!
I nominated my friend Charlotte who's husband has recently passed away for a chance to win some scrapping goodies from AMLT. She ended up being chosen, so I am very glad I took the time to do a good deed for someone who really needed it!
#1 Well, I haven't received any scrapbook things by surprise but I did find out I was pregnant by surprise. You know how they tell you Ambien can cause people to eat or even drive in their sleep. Yeah...apparently that's not the only things people do! ;) She'll be a year old in about two weeks. She's the best (and most surprising thing) that's ever happened to me!
#2 My best friend in the entire world just had a baby on July 8. Her maternity leave in unpaid (that stinks!!) so I brought her a bunch of stuff that my daughter doesn't use/need anymore - her baby swing, car seat base, breast pump, etc. I helped her get set up with pumping and helped her husband give the first bottle. She's 5 hours away...I miss her so much already!
Congrats on all your winnings!! I have been seeing your name on a couple of different blogs lately as a winner!! You might want to run out and buy a lottery ticket! ;)
I once won an iPod nano from Magestical Memories during their grand opening celebrations. That was pretty cool!!
Hmmmm...I won a stamp set that I'd eyed when it was available, never bought it and didn't even know I was entered to win it. That was blind luck! Not as cool as a mini vaca, but cool in my budgeted world.
Now for something generous...I started teaching with someone who was getting married and doing it all on a budget. Not even knowing her a week, I told her no worries I would make her wedding invites for free. Unbeknownst to her I'm also making matching thank yous.
I won a radio contest. This radio station has what they call a workforce payroll. Every hour starting at 8 am and ending at 4 pm they call a name and you have a certion amount of time to call back. If you call back in that time frame you win $100 dollars for every hour you are on their "payroll". I won for one hour plus I got tickets for our statefair and tickets to see the Alman brothers. It was fun!!!
The generous thing that my family does is every year at church during the Christmas season, we pick an envelope off of the tree in the lobby. In the envelope is a name of a needy adult with a wish list of what they want for Christmas. We then go to the store and purchase the items the person wants and we have a fun time wrapping the gifts.
I posted on my blog about your giveaway!
